After having the opportunity to work with hundreds of youth (specifically young women) and seeing and hearing about the need for love, support, empowerment and a safe place to turn, I went to my own teen daughter with an idea. She had been thinking of the same – creating a movement geared specifically for female youth between the ages of 12-18 to inspire and build confidence. This became Rising Tide – a faith-based movement created by me and my daughter.
